The Chair Training is a one-weekend certification course that will cover all aspects of the Chair including repertoire and effective cueing. We will discuss how this versatile, challenging piece of equipment can be integrated into an all-over workout or used as a stand-alone class. Students will engage in peer-to-peer instruction and instructor coaching designed to encourage a thoughtful, comprehensive approach to teaching.
Pre-requisites
Students must have completed Mat training. Exception can be made if the student has a h4 personal training background.
Requirements for certification
10 hours of observation, 10 hours of self-practice (5 during classroom training period), 10 hours of Practice teaching (4 hours during classroom training period).
Exam
The exam is part of the tuition costs and is scheduled for approximately eight weeks after the last classroom session. If the student fails they may retest at a later date for a nominal fee.
Materials
All materials are included in the cost of the class. Students are required to purchase their own “Trail Guide to the Body” text book prior to commencement of the class.
Cost
The cost is $250 and includes all course materials and exam fee. Students are expected to purchase “Trail Guide to the Body” on their own prior to commencement of the class.
